I ordered 2 sets and the extra Høvercraft goodies as well to replace my old stuff and I am totally and even beyond satisfied. Seeing these pieces online simply doesn't compare to holding them in your very own hands. This is the dinnerware I've been waiting for for years without knowing it. The pieces are extremely well made, look sleek, simple and sensational and are the perfect weight. Not too girly and not too manly. They passed the microwave test with flying colors and I'm about to see how they handle the dishwasher - the only downside so far is that the slightly taller-than-normal nature of the larger pieces doesn't allow them to stack quite as tightly in the dishwasher as my previous plates, but I'm quite fine with that.

Elegant and simple dishes set off the food beautifully. The dinner plates are a substantial size and the lip is really classy and different. For almost a year I looked and looked for white dishes, and these are head and shoulders above others at any price point.

Versatile, sturdy; best of all, elegant. And such good value we bought 16 complete settings. The pasta bowls are especially useful and smart. The lips on the plates are stylish, also neat for coping with sauces and dressings. The little double-shelled, insulated cups, which have a Japanese simplicity, are useful for cold or hot desserts, or after-dinner tea and coffee. Their saucers are charming for chocolates, dips, and sauces. And the mugs feel good in your hand. Friends have asked where our dinnerware came from and been pleased to learn it's a Canadian company. I stopped a stranger from making a much more expensive, less attractive purchase in a posh store by recommending this and writing down the URL for her.
Can't say enough to praise Gourmet Settings. I'm hoping they'll produce serving plates and dishes to match. The only suggestion I'd make is that the salad and side plates are very similar in size, so you may not need both. But both are handy for a big buffet party.
