I have looked everywhere for white modern dinnerware I wanted something cool that had a quality look that wouldn't break the bank. I got it Thanks Gourmet Settings I was concerned that the hovering part of the plates would be weird and I would want them to lay flat to the table - but concerns were allayed when I received them today. They look awesome I was glad too, because I got it all - the glassware, wine glasses, serving dishes, pasta bowls, etc. The salad plates ARE different than the side plates. Slightly more raised on the edges although the same diameter. I am glad I got them - the extra edge will be good with salads. The mugs are cool Interesting handle which adds a modern flair. I think the cup and saucers will be great for after dinner coffee, espresso, tea. I'm eating pasta out of the pasta bowl right now. I'm going to go buy some flatware

The white is as beautiful and bold as any vibrant color. These dishes look so gorgeous on your table and feel so good in your hands. The size and weight is substantial without being too heavy, and the shine makes them look good enough for fine dining. I use mine for everyday. They stack wonderfully.

I have been looking for new dishes for a long time--this set is just what I wanted. Very high quality, beautiful, and so practical. The pasta bowls are our favorites as they are a wonderful size for many uses. The raised edges on the plates are such a clever idea.

I can't say enough about this dinnerware. I searched high and low for plates that had a lip on them and these are exactly what I was looking for. I'm a semi-professional klutz, so the excellent quality is protecting me from a collection of chipped plates, cups, and bowls. I absolutely love the simple modern look to them. Good sized dinner plate with a rim that keeps sauces etc from spilling. Fit nicely in the dishwasher. Also like that they are porcelain so that they don't chip. Nice smooth finish. They seem to float on the table with the slight raised area the bottom.

I've been looking for a modern dinnerware set that won't chip or break in the dishwasher. I was so happy to find these, they look very similar to a style I saw from a very not-within-reach modern company, so I was more than pleased to find such high quality at a reasonable price. Now that we've used them a while I can tell you this is the best set I've ever owned. The plates, bowls and coffee cups do not come out of the microwave with any hot spots. I was worried about this and the chipping from another dishwasher/microwave safe set I had but these are FAR better quality and we've had no problems. Buy them, you will be very happy you did

Absolutely love this dinnerware The design is so impressive and versatile - you can easily use it for every occasion from elegant to everyday I was concerned about my dishwasher and whether the dishes would fit in properly because of the lip but GS thought of everything and they go in perfectly and the water doesn't catch and stay in the lip I also ordered the cups and saucers and they are absolutely lovely - what a unique design - and the cups don't get hot I can't imagine anyone being less than pleased with this product - I am thrilled And with that said - I'm off to order the platter and a serving bowl - Thanks GS Oh and 2 of my cups arrived broken and they were replaced in just a matter of days - so great service too

Not only are the dishes exceptional, so is the service at GS. Prior to ordering a set of 12, I had numerous questions for customer service and they professionally and enthusiastically helped me (Thanks again, Jane). I bought these handle-less, stacking cups and saucers because we often serve after dinner coffee to guests, but we have very little cupboard space. And I am thrilled with these cups and saucers. I bought 8, which take very little room to store. They double walled, so your hand doesn't get hot, and very elegant. Perfect for after dinner coffee.

I ordered 2 sets and the extra Høvercraft goodies as well to replace my old stuff and I am totally and even beyond satisfied. Seeing these pieces online simply doesn't compare to holding them in your very own hands. This is the dinnerware I've been waiting for for years without knowing it. The pieces are extremely well made, look sleek, simple and sensational and are the perfect weight. Not too girly and not too manly. They passed the microwave test with flying colors and I'm about to see how they handle the dishwasher - the only downside so far is that the slightly taller-than-normal nature of the larger pieces doesn't allow them to stack quite as tightly in the dishwasher as my previous plates, but I'm quite fine with that.

Versatile, sturdy; best of all, elegant. And such good value we bought 16 complete settings. The pasta bowls are especially useful and smart. The lips on the plates are stylish, also neat for coping with sauces and dressings. The little double-shelled, insulated cups, which have a Japanese simplicity, are useful for cold or hot desserts, or after-dinner tea and coffee. Their saucers are charming for chocolates, dips, and sauces. And the mugs feel good in your hand. Friends have asked where our dinnerware came from and been pleased to learn it's a Canadian company. I stopped a stranger from making a much more expensive, less attractive purchase in a posh store by recommending this and writing down the URL for her.
