I absolutely love this set....but I will absolutely disagree with using any of the spoons to dish up frozen ice cream....you will end up bending the spoon. I have a set of 12, purchased over a two year period. The flatware does well in the diswasher and retains its beauty.

This flatware is gorgeous-I fell in love with it five years ago when I saw it at HomeGoods and bought service for 12. These pieces have maintained their beauty with heavy daily use and countless dishwasher cycles. I was thrilled to find it here online as I needed additional place settings for Christmas eve dinner and ordered another hostess set as well. Excellent product--Absolutely 5 star.

I'm so glad I found you I was missing a few pieces to this pattern, and since I bought my set as 'open stock' at Cost Plus World Market, I was very disappointed to learn they no longer carried it. I absolutely love this set. I purchased 8 place settings of Avalon over two years ago. We use it every day in my household and I love it. My whole family (4 adult children and their spouses) think its a "cool" design, especially the men. Because of the size of my family, I ordered another 4 place settings in order to set all of the table with this cutlery when we have family dinners. It goes so well with my decor. It is a sturdy set and does very well in the dishwasher. Although I have had the first pieces for over two years, there was no evidence of wear or deterioration when the additional new place settings arrived. I would purchase this again in a heart beat. I was extremely pleased to see that even after 2 years, I was still able to order more. Ordering on line was quick and easy. The items arrived quickly. Thank you for your excellent service.

I purchased this set the second I saw it. We had just redecorated our home to reflect our Celtic heritage and this Avalon set couldn't have been more perfect if I had designed it myself The balance, hand and mouth feel, and visual beauty of this extraordinarily crafted tableware cannot be overstated. I absolutely love my set of avalon flat ware. I have never been so happy with a purchase of my home. That sounds funny, but as a former art jeweler, I feel that it is like using a piece of art to eat from. I love the weight of the utensils and the patina of the metal. People come over to eat and exclaim "Where did you get this silverware"?
My husband loves to eat with it also. He is a big guy and has complained about the utensils I have bought through the years. He said that I finally found a set that fits him. The weight and balance of the pieces is perfect. I am very pleased.

WE LOVE AVALON 5 STARS
I admired this pattern for several years, but already had an expensive and nice set from another company in our original, upper-kitchen.
Recently, we added a second kitchen to our home, one with an old-world medieval theme, and this pattern was made for the new, lower-kitchen. We've purchased 24 5-piece place settings, plus multiples of all the available serving pieces, including the minispoons, cocktail forks, and spreaders. I even purchased another 4 5-piece place setting for future lose replacement. :-)
